The Pennsy Broad Way did not refer to their NYC to Washington route. It
referred to their 4 track mainline (broad way) through the mountains towards
Chicago. Horseshoe curve was a prime example of the broad way as it had 4
tracks, it is down to 3 now.

The Pennsylvania was a big user of cab signaling, installing it on most if
not all electrified lines including the NYC-Washington "Broad way", where
GG1's regularly did 100 per.
